SATC2 at the Everyman Cinema!

We enjoyed the most super duper girly Sex and the City 2 experience at the Everyman Cinema on Wednesday night.
The screening at the gorge boutique venue was a decadent affair; we walked up a red carpet, were papped as we made our entrance (rocking ridiculously high stilettos and obscenely short dresses)and greeted with the cutest cupcakes decorated with the names of our fav characters, we ate Mr Big and Carrie- natch. A stunning photography exhibition was on show, put together by talented student types from the London College of Fashion and delicious Sex and the City inspired cocktails were laid out for us to sip on. Carrie herself couldn't have thrown a better soiree!

Watching the movie there, I have to admit the comfort level is unparalleled. It’s like the business class of cinemas. Enough leg room to think your on the couch at home, table service (Bellini’s brought to your table- you can’t ask for more), plush love seats to park your bum on (much easier for your date to slide their arm around you). I could go on but you have to check it out for yourselves!

Fashionable ladies came out in force

The SATC2 inspired screenings followed hot on the heels of a special Alice in Wonderlan-d showing, where the venue was decked out like a mad hatters tea party. Check out www.everymancinema.com to find out more about the awesome events they hold!

Yummy SATC cakes

Everyman cinema's will be screening SATC2 until 10th June. Catch it there while you can at the Belsize Park, Hampstead, Baker Street, Islington, Oxted, Winchester, Walton and Reigate venues!

Getting Carrie'd away with a lush SATC2 cinema experience!

LADIES!!! Its the 28th of May! The wait is over and the day has arrived to slip on your stilettos, shimmy into your directional fashion pieces and sashay to a Sex and the City 2 screening. We all know SATC2 is an event (even though some menfolk might not) and there's no better way to get a fix from our fav New York gals than at the Everyman cinema. I first went to one last year and if you've never been you are missing out- they are gorge! With cosy love seats (not a flip up seat in sight) and table service galore(SATC diva's don't queue for drinks- natch!) these are without a doubt my fav cinema's.

And for the SATC2 season Everyman will be transforme-d into a sumptuous setting so us girls can catch up in style with Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. There will be everything from high heels adorning the ceiling, stunning shoe displays, oversized golden cosmos, flower shows, photography exhibitions, towers of cocktail glasses filled with luminous concoctions, and of course a red carpet for us to strut up before we enter! Popcorn and coke is out because ladies, we can enjoy yummy bespoke cupcakes, from the renowned Primrose Hill Bakery and sip on champers and cosmos while we watch the film.

Personally I'm a bit of a Charlotte and when I heard that The London College of Fashion will create a SATC inspired photography exhibition at the Belsize Park Everyman throughout June- I nearly fell out of my Loubou's. And it gets better....LCF and Everyman are hosting a one-off event at that screen on Wednesday 2nd June, with a live art installation where hair and makeup stylists from LCF will be styling volunteers throughout the night!

The FBC missed the premiere (boo) but we are definitely going to the Everyman on the 2nd- that'll more than make up for it!

For more info on the event or to book tickets visit www.everymancinema.com or call the box office on 0871 906 9060.

The Hampstead, Belsize Park, Islington, Baker Street, Oxted, Reigate, Walton and Winchester Everyman screens will be taking part in the SATC2 season.

Sex and the City 2 Trailer

*Screams* Sex and the City 2 is hitting our screens this month!!! The trailer alone- which features a zillion outfit changes, killer lines, killer shots of New York all set to the tune of Jay Z's Empire State of Mind- was enough to leave the FBC hyperventilating..... and we get to see all of our favourite men from the ladies past like Aiden and Smith. I love Carrie and I know she's the central character but my favourite has always been Samantha. Kim Cattralls portrayal of the sexy, maverick PR woman is spot on as ever. Favourite scene in the movie has to be when Samantha reveals her secret to staying young is a cocktail of pills to which Charlotte says "How will you swallow all of those?" Samantha replies "Have we met?" KAPOW!!!!

The UK release date is 28th May and if you need to get a little Carrie fix beforehand read The Carrie Diaries written by original Sex and the City novelist Candace Bushnell...this is Carrie the early years.
